We know that you also care about the environment. That’s why we offer a number of eco-friendly display and printing alternatives. Here are just a few examples of the green options available to you.
This durable, light and easy-to-assemble framing system is manufactured locally, made entirely of recycled and reclaimed materials, and ships in a compact carton. Yet the Verde Fast Frame’s true genius lies in its versatility: inserting the display graphics in the frame is so easy it can be done onsite by store personnel, eliminating the need for costly re-installations when promotions or décor styles change. For an even smaller carbon footprint, we recommend using Verde with an eco-friendly graphic cloth printed with water-based inks.
With its unique structure of corrugated board cells and special liners, Re-Board is an earth-friendly alternative to solid boards. It is water resistant and durable, which means a longer display lifespan with less need to replace signs. Re-Board is also considerably lighter than solid boards, leading to reduced C02 emissions from transportation. Compared to boards such as chip boards, Re-Board uses about 80 percent less raw material and can be recycled like regular paper. What’s more, the Re-Board can be bent and curved to give you more creative display options.
In traditional lithographic printing, a mirror image of the material to be printed is burned onto a plate and then transferred to a rubber blanket, a process that produces chemical wastes. With digital printing, the printing process is direct from computer to medium so there's no need to make a plate. Another benefit to digital printing at Resource is our use of UV inks, which cure instantly and do not expel volatile organic compounds during the drying or printing process. And unlike solvent-based inks, UV inks do not break down and contaminate landfills and surrounding soils.
