To Infinity and Beyond Meets Print and Beyond
Resource Integrated Ltd. brought Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 to life within TELUS stores through a national retail display program. Working from Disney-supplied assets, our team designed, engineered, printed, fabricated and installed a dimensional selfie stand that invited customers into the world of Toy Story.
The project connected Toy Story’s familiar “To Infinity and Beyond” spirit with our own commitment to Print and Beyond: transforming creative assets into complete physical brand experiences.
The challenge
Create a memorable photo destination that combined Disney’s recognizable characters with the quality and finish expected by the participating brands.
The display needed to function as one cohesive installation. Its structure, illumination and graphic elements had to work together to create visual depth, frame the customer’s photograph and present the artwork faithfully within the TELUS retail environment.
Delivering the program nationally also required a design that could be carried consistently through production, fabrication and installation.
Our solution
Our team developed a custom selfie stand using an aluminum framing structure, a rear light box and layered graphic elements.
The illuminated backdrop established the scene, while the character surround and foreground pieces added dimension. Together, these components transformed the supplied artwork into a three-dimensional destination customers could approach, explore and photograph.
Resource Integrated managed the full execution, connecting the physical design with the requirements of print production, fabrication and installation.
Engineering the experience step by step
Creative adaptation and physical design
We translated Disney’s supplied assets into a dimensional composition, determining how the characters, framing elements and illuminated backdrop would relate to one another. The design preserved the artwork’s visual identity while creating depth and a clear focal point for customer photos.
Structural development and light box integration
We developed the aluminum framing and rear light box as integral parts of the display. Careful attention to the placement and relationship of each component ensured the supporting structure and illumination contributed to the finished experience.
Print production and custom fabrication
Our team printed and fabricated the graphic elements with close attention to colour, image detail, contours and finishing. Each component needed to work individually and align with the overall composition—a level of precision particularly important for a display viewed and photographed up close.
Brand collaboration and quality review
We worked closely with the brands throughout development and execution to ensure the finished product met their quality standards. This collaboration connected the supplied creative with the practical decisions required to manufacture a polished retail installation.
National installation
Our scope extended through installation in TELUS stores across Canada. Bringing the framing, light box and dimensional graphics together in the retail setting completed the experience and carried the design through to its final presentation.
The result
The completed display created a distinctive Toy Story 5 selfie destination within TELUS stores, combining an illuminated scene with dimensional characters and graphic elements.
The project demonstrates how Resource Integrated connects design, engineering, print, fabrication and national installation. The quality of the final product came from careful decisions at every stage, supported by close collaboration with the brands involved.
